Every year in Verona takes place VINITALY, the most significant and exclusive appointment to get to know the Italian wines, the wineries that produce them and the latest novelties in the wine sector. Among the participants are: wine producers, wine buyers, tourist companies, journalists and visitors.

Here are some pictures about the Gavi wine of Piedmont taken last April2009 during Vinitaly. Not be be missed the chef – the cook for every occasion - who served oysters in abundance. Gavi docg, the great piedmontese wine, is produced in south Piedmont from Cortese grapes. Gavi wine is dry, white, from non aromatic grapes, remarkable for its elegance and delicacy which make it an extremely versatile wine.

The Toscana building is always one of the largest and representative ones of  Vinitaly.

Many wineries from Tuscany took place in the event, such as  Poggio Antico, Badia a Cotibuono, Rocca delle Macie, Cantine del Redi ,Talosa … impossible to mention them all! We draw your attention to the yearly appointment OPEN WINERIES taking place on the last Sunday in May, this year May 31st. Every region in Italy participates with several wineries and you will be able to visit the properties and taste the wines of their production. The event is for free, the important fact is to get organized and partecipate! In Tuscany the event  is organized by il Movimento Turismo del Vino.
