PALATINE HILL is the most central of the Seven Hills of Rome and one of the most ancient parts of the city. It is 40 meters high and rises between the Roman Forum on one side and the Circus Maximus on the other. Here is the House of Augustus which was recently restored featuring splendid frescoes painted 2,000 years ago, maybe by an Egyptian artist. The visit is available to only a limited numbers of visitors depending on the date of your visit and on the dispositions of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage.

ARCH OF COSTANTINE is situated between the Coliseum and the Palatine Hill. It was built to commemorate the victory of Constantine I over Maxentius at the Battle of Milvian Bridge.
ARCH OF TITUS is located southeast of the Roman Forum , on the Via Sacra. Dating back to the 1st century AD, it has inspired the construction of several triumphal arches such as the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.
CAPITOLINE HILL is the most famous of the seven hills in Rome featuring: Palazzo dei Conservatori, Palazzo Nuovo, the Capitoline Museums which are the oldest public museums in the world, and Piazza del Campidoglio (Capitoline Square) designed by Michelangelo
. A superb view can be enjoyed from here.
